How We Get Paid, Commission and Fee Transparency

An Explanation of Our Fees and Charges

Suppliers pay LOVE Business Group Limited (“LOVE”) to introduce businesses to their services.

You do not pay us directly for using our service.

Our commission covers the work we do to support you, including comparing options, securing contracts, managing the switch, and providing ongoing support through your myHub account.

By using our service, you agree that LOVE may receive commission from suppliers as outlined below.

Does Our Commission Affect Which Deals We Show You?

No. Our role is to show you options based on your business needs, usage, and contract timing.

Some energy suppliers may offer additional payments based on growth or volume. These do not influence the deals we present or the way we compare options.

We operate in line with our TPI Code of Practice, which sets out how we ensure fair and transparent comparisons.

Business Energy

For business energy, our commission is built into your unit rate as a small uplift. This means the cost of our service is included within your contract with the supplier. The uplift varies depending on the supplier and the contract. Because commission is based on estimated future usage, it is calculated as a forecast.

How to Calculate Commission Example

We secure:

  • Standing charge: 60p per day
  • Unit rate: 30p per kWh
  • Contract length: 2 years

We apply an uplift of 1p per kWh. Your contracted unit rate becomes 31p per kWh.

Commission is calculated as: 1p uplift × 25,000 kWh annual usage × 2 years = £500 estimated commission

In this example, this is around 3% of the total contract value.

Payment timing and structure vary by supplier, and may change over time. Some suppliers may instead pay a fixed fee, for example, when new meters are installed.

Domestic Energy

For domestic energy, we work with a partner who provides comparison and switching services.

We receive a share of the commission they earn when a contract is completed.

For full details, please refer to the partner’s website.

Merchant Services

For merchant services, we introduce you to a specialist partner.

We receive a percentage of the commission they earn from the contract.

For full details on how they are paid, please refer to their website.

Can I Find Out Exactly What You’ll Earn?

How We Get Paid FAQs

  • Does Love Energy Savings charge a fee?

No. You do not pay us directly. Our service is free to use, and we are paid by suppliers when a contract is agreed.

  • How does Love Energy Savings make money?

We receive commission from suppliers when we arrange a contract on your behalf.

For business energy, this is typically included as a small uplift within your unit rate.

  • How much commission does Love Energy Savings receive?

The commission we receive varies depending on the supplier, contract terms, and your estimated usage.

For energy contracts, it is usually a small uplift applied to the unit rate. In many cases, this equates to a small percentage of the overall contract value.

You can request a personalised breakdown of the commission for your contract at any time.

  • Does the commission affect which energy deals I’m shown?

No. The options we present are based on your business needs, usage, and contract timing.

The commission does not determine which suppliers or deals are shown.

  • Is Love Energy Savings impartial?

Yes. We act as an intermediary to help you compare options across a range of suppliers.

We follow our TPI Code of Practice, which sets out how we ensure comparisons are fair, transparent, and based on your requirements, not commission.

  • What is a TPI in energy?

A TPI, or Third Party Intermediary, is a business that helps customers compare, arrange, and manage energy contracts.

This includes services such as price comparison, contract negotiation, and ongoing support. You can read more in our TPI Code of Practice.

  • Is it cheaper to go directly to an energy supplier?

Not necessarily. Suppliers often make similar pricing available through brokers.

Using a broker allows you to compare multiple suppliers in one place via our business energy comparison service, rather than approaching each supplier individually.

  • Why use Love Energy Savings instead of going direct?

Love Energy Savings gives you visibility across multiple suppliers, rather than a single offer.

Through our business energy comparison service, you can:

    • Compare options more easily

    • Understand contract terms more clearly

    • Act at the right time based on your renewal window

You also benefit from support throughout the process, rather than managing it alone.

  • Can I find out exactly what commission you’ll receive on my contract?

Yes. You can request a full breakdown of the commission we expect to receive for your contract at any time.

    Contact: [email protected]

  • Do you receive different commission rates from different suppliers?

Yes. Commission structures can vary depending on the supplier, contract type, and product.

These differences do not affect the way we present options. Our comparisons are based on your business needs and requirements, in line with our TPI Code of Practice.
